Hardware


Currently, OpenView provides a miniature ARM-based PC which can be used to play High-Definition video with extremely high performance in perfect silence.
  • Broadcom BCM2835 700MHz ARM1176JZFS processor with FPU and Videocore 4 GPU
  • GPU provides Open GL ES 2.0, hardware-accelerated OpenVG, and 1080p30 H.264 high-profile decode
  • GPU is capable of 1Gpixel/s, 1.5Gtexel/s or 24GFLOPs with texture filtering and DMA infrastructure
  • 512 MB RAM
  • Boots from 4GB SD card using Raspbmc and OpenView
  • 10/100 BaseT Ethernet ports for OpenView wired connection
  • HDMI socket for OpenView TV connection
  • (2) USB 2.0 socket. OpenView uses one socket for Wi-Fi and the other as a mouse maintenance socket
  • SD card socket for OpenView software execution
  • Powered from micro USB socket for OpenView power supply

Software


Currently, OpenView:
  • Utilizes Raspbmc, a minimal Linux distribution based on Debian that brings XBMC with it.
