Accessing 1Channel/PrimeWire from the UK

Once your system has been automatically updated the new icon will look like the one above.  The PrimeWire access from the UK using a proxy server is intermittent and unreliable.  It seems to work best during the day!  Lets see what unfolds.

Access 1Channel from the UK.  Navigate to:

SYSTEM>Settings>Add-ons>Enabled Add-ons>Video Add-ons>1Channel and select Configure
on the Mischellaneous tab change Domain to http://primewireproxy.co.uk
Select OK and job done.

1 Channel/PrimeWire latest

A 1Channel update is currently being tested before being deployed.  The first thing that you will notice is a new launch icon as above on your TV screen.  The new software will automatically update for you in a few days.

On November 21st UK ISPS - BT, Sky, Virgin Media, O2 , EE and TalkTalk began blocking websites including PrimeWire (formerly 1Channel).  By November 23rd UK users were accessing PrimeWire as "normal" through proxy servers.  There are two proxy servers currently being used to access PrimeWire through the UK ISPs; http://primewireproxy.co.uk and 1channel.occupyuk.co.uk

Instructions on using these proxy servers will follow shortly. Our initial testing indicates that interfacing to the current proxy servers work reasonably well but is not 100% perfect.  Once a server (i.e. Putlocker) has been selected to view content things works just like before because the proxy server is no longer being used.

1channel fix

1channel has switched back to the primewire.ag domain from the letmewatchthis.ch domain.

You may get confused with some of the messages you see on your TV screen.  Just click "OK" to them all.  Then follow this process to ensure your 1channel domain is set correctly to http://www.primewire.ag

Select SYSTEM-Settings
Select Add-ons
Select Video Add-ons
Select 1Channel
Select Configure
Select Domain and set to http://www.primewire.ag
 Select OK

Use your back up key to return to your HOME screen.
Job done.

primewire.ag redirects to vodly.to

What is happening to 1channel these days?  On Wednesday 14th August 2013 we were told by 1channel twitter (LMWT/Primewire @real_1channel) to use letmewatchthis.ch to access the site.

@real_1channel tweeted on Friday 16th August 2013, "We are back on primewire.ag, sorry for the confusion".  But for some the primewire.ag URL redirected them to primewire.sx for a short while or vodly.to (a nasty site where you will get loaded with lots of malicious stuff - yuk).

The letmewatchthis.ch is also redirecting to vodly.to (yuk) site.  This vodly.to claims they are the legitimate site but they are not.

So where are we now?  Some are claiming they are getting to the primewire.ag site just fine whilst others are being redirected to vodly.to (yuk).  There are those who are saying it is just a DNS catch up issue and everything will be sorted out within a few hours.

We are using Virgin media ISP in the UK and can report that at 7:30am on 17th August 2013 primewire.ag is being redirected to vodly.to - are you able to access primewire.ag? (I have a gut feeling we may get some misinformation from those at vodly.to ha ha)

UPDATE 10:30 am Saturday 17th August 2013 - Hooray - primewire.ag is no longer being redirected for us.

Will the real 1channel please stand up! ha ha

One of the most frequent questions asked, "Is 1channel working"!  On the 1st May 2013 the 1channel domain was hijacked.  A newish domain called letmewatchthis.ch was then put in place.  All worked well for a short while but then letmewatchthis.ch domain was hijacked.  Then the primewire.ag domain came to the rescue.  All was fine until now, August 14th 2013.  The irony is that the primewire.ag is now redirecting to letmewatchthis.ch that gives a warning, "PrimeWire.ag is our new name, 1Channel is still hijacked. Spread the word." ha ha

Lets see what happens next.

Is 1Channel working?

One of the most frequent questions asked!  On the 1st May 2013 the 1channel domain was hijacked.  A newish domain called letmewatchthis.ch was then put in place.  All worked well for a short while but then this domain also hit problems.  The OpenView 1channel points to the primewire.ag domain where all is well at the moment.
